Drumming Around the World
Mr Singh will be visiting our Y3 children on a Wednesday morning in the summer term to hold a 'Drumming Around the World' workshop.
In their first session, the children were shown many different types of drums that are used in many different countries.
The children then started to learn about, and play, the Tabla drums; made from copper and occasionally clay and wood, the Tabla drums are fundamental instruments in Indian and Pakistani music and the children learnt the technique used of finger and hand strokes whilst sitting down.
